Oregon Players win Medals at the National Masters

On March 11, 2009, nine ORA Players went to Canoga Park, Calif. to play in the National Masters Racquetball Tournament at the Spectrum Club.  Marni Wagner from Eugene took home 2 Gold medals.  One in the Mixed 45's and then partnered with Carol Loomis of Portland in the Womens 50's to earn her second and Carols first Gold!  Earning the Bronze Medal were: Gloria Piscoran in the Womens 65 Singles; Linda Ellis/Kent Hollingsworth of Salem in the Mixed 45s; Linda Ellis/Vicki Reyes in the Womens 50s; David Reyes/Kent Hollingsworth in the Mens 45s and Gloria Piscoran/Robert Cox in the Mixed 65's.  DavidReyes/Vicki Reyes from West Linn took 4th in Mixed 45s.  The tournament lasted 4 days, with everyone playing up to 20 matches.  The Spectrum Club has 24 courts!  It was a long weekend but fun for all.  The next NMRA tournament is in Champaign, Illinois in July 2009.  You can check out all the results at the tournament website.  Next year this National Masters Tournament will be held in Arizona in March.
